Shinde faction claims, no tussle over ministers’ portfolios
The cabinet expansion of the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde government, which took over the power of Maharashtra on June 30 after a rebellion with Shiv Sena, is yet to take place. There has been speculation about differences with the BJP ally in the government and disparity over the department. Shinde faction spokesperson Deepak Kesarkar said that there is no such thing. There is no tussle between us over cabinet expansion. The matter is in Supreme Court. An interim order is likely to be issued on Monday. Only after this CM Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will take the appropriate decision on the ministers. On being pulled up by the opposition parties, Deepak said, no work has stopped. The CM has authorized the officers to take decisions related to public interest.
Waiting for the Supreme Court’s decision
Both the Shiv Sena camps are in the shelter of the Supreme Court and the Election Commission. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana is hearing the petitions filed by them.
